Day 1 - LCC goes BIGTIME
Hey, it was a great day here in Chicago! I must say the students blew us away in ways unimaginable. We had 3 students stand before 400 people to give testimony of how God has changed them - totally unsolicited, they voluntarily walked up to the mic and unleashed some great words. One of our students was the talk of the day - Mckinley Smith gave probably one of the most memorable testimonies. The students also had a chance to meet their crews that they would be serving with today for remainder of the week - heard nothing but awesome excitement! From worship to learning about sharing our faith - the day was full of opportunities to grow individually and as a group.
Everyone’s safe, sound, and experiencing some great learning opportunities. Our day starts tomorrow (Monday) at 6:15 AM with breakfast and off we go around 7 AM to the projects. Please be in prayer for our groups - some have obstacles to overcome to complete their work…time, neighborhood situations, and the arrival of supplies. Well, that’s it for day one - big day of reporting tomorrow…somewhere around 5pm should be the next post.
